Our “Gemini” telescope combines the proven advantages of the classical Dobsonian mount with an improved, lightweight truss-tube structure designed for easy and convenient handling.
Optimized for portability, the mount consists of several detachable components with compact dimensions, manufactured from high-quality plywood and aluminum tubes.
Compared to conventional telescope designs, Gemini requires minimal space for transportation and storage.
The telescope can be assembled and ready for observation within a few minutes. Assembly is simple and fast, as the structural elements are connected using specially designed clamps, without the need for tools.
A precision bearing system in both altitude and azimuth ensures smooth, stable, and effortless motion in all directions.
The open truss design allows rapid thermal equilibration of the optical system and significantly reduces internal air turbulence, avoiding convective currents commonly present in closed-tube designs that can degrade image quality.
The telescope mount is constructed from high-quality plywood supplied by JAF (Austria), selected for its mechanical stability and resistance to sharp temperature variations.
This material effectively suppresses vibrations and structural resonances, contributing to stable and precise telescope operation under a wide range of environmental conditions.
The optical system of all our telescope models is designed to deliver consistently high performance. The primary mirror is manufactured with high precision from borosilicate glass produced by SCHOTT (Germany) and is supplied with a full interferometric test certificate.
The resulting Strehl ratio is always above 0.95 and typically lies in the 0.97–0.99 range, as confirmed by interferometric measurements.
By focusing on in-house optical fabrication, efficient production processes, and direct delivery, we are able to offer this level of optical and mechanical quality at a highly competitive price, without compromises in performance or precision.
